About the Opponent
The Falcons have also yet to win a conference game of their own, falling to Evansville and Belmont. Despite the record, Bowling Green has beaten Wright State, Michigan State, DePaul, and Northern Kentucky. They've played one ranked team, drawing 18th-ranked Kentucky. This is a different team compared to last year, as they were nationally ranked entering their match against the Braves. In their second year in the Valley, the Falcons finished 3rd, falling in overtime to Evansville in the conference championship.
The Falcons are led by Trace Terry, who has recorded six of the team's 11 goals. He has three game winners and leads the team in minutes with 1,069. Bennett Painter has the second most goals and minutes, with four and 1,027.
Series History
The series is as split as can be, with the overall games evened at two; the two programs have also gone 1-1 respectively at each stadium. This will be the third time the Braves have traveled to Bowling Green, the first dating back to 1996. The largest margin of victory in the series came in 1999, when the Braves earned a 4-1 win. Last time in Cochrane Stadium, Bradley fell 3-1 to the Falcons. Last year, Bowling Green entered Peoria ranked 24th in the Nation. Kevin Meijas scored in the 58th minute to tie the game, yet a 86th-minute goal from Bowling Green gave the Falcons a victory.
