PEORIA, Ill. -- Bradley University cross country athlete Abigail Hancock has been named this week's Busey Bank Scholar-Athlete of the Week, announced Tuesday. Hancock was honored after placing second in the Women's 6K race at the Missouri Valley Conference Championships in Evansville on Oct. 31.

The graduate student from Berkshire, England, placed runner-up in the Women's 6K MVC Championship race at Angel Mounds in Evansville, clocking a 20:58.95. Hancock was the second-highest Bradley finisher and one of six Braves to finish in the top six. The finish garnered Hancock her third Cross Country All-Conference selection in as many years.

Hancock's strong performance and academic success have earned her this week's Busey Bank Scholar-Athlete honor.
