Game Recap: Women's Basketball |

Peoria, Ill. – Bradley Women's Basketball opened its 2025–26 regular season in dominant fashion Tuesday night inside Renaissance Coliseum, defeating Judson University 94–33. The Braves controlled the game from start to finish, building confidence early behind an explosive offensive rhythm and stifling defense.

A Fast Start

Bradley came out firing, scoring the first 15 points of the contest before Judson could get on the board. The Braves' ball movement and defensive pressure fueled their early surge, forcing six first-quarter turnovers and capitalizing in transition. Bradley shot 47% in the opening frame to take a 26–10 lead, then followed with an 80% shooting second quarter, including four made threes, to enter halftime ahead 55–14.

Standout Performances for Bradley

A balanced offensive attack saw 13 Braves enter the scoring column, with four players finishing in double figures.

  • Maya Foz, named the Ameren Illinois Player of the Game, led the way with 14 points on 5-for-10 shooting, hitting three from deep.

  • Kaylen Nelson added 9 points, 3 rebounds, and 2 assists while anchoring the defensive pressure early.

  • Lila Posthuma poured in 11 points and dished out a team-high four assists.

  • Amy O'Hara scored 9 points, grabbed 6 rebounds, and tallied a block and a steal in just 13 minutes.

The Braves also received 51 points from their bench, highlighted by strong showings from newcomers Claire McDougall (6 pts, 6 reb) and Tamia Perryman (6 pts, 3 stl), as well as steady play from veterans across the rotation

Putting the Game Out of Reach

Bradley extended its lead to 75–23 by the end of the third quarter, maintaining focus despite the wide margin. The Braves' relentless defense forced 29 Judson turnovers, leading directly to 41 points off giveaways. Their ball movement remained crisp throughout, producing 21 assists on 34 made field goals.

Defensive Dominance

The Braves smothered Judson's offense from start to finish, holding the Eagles to just 25% shooting from the field and 1-for-15 from three-point range. Bradley also won the rebounding battle 40–29 and outscored Judson 36–16 in the paint.

Coming Up…

Bradley returns home on Tuesday, November 12, to host DePaul at Carver Arena in its first major non-conference test of the season. Tipoff is set for 5:00 p.m. CT on ESPN+.
