PEORIA, Ill. -- Bradley University men's basketball athlete Alex Huibregtse has been named this week's Busey Bank Scholar-Athlete of the Week, announced Tuesday. Huibregtse was honored after averaging 13.7 points per game while shooting 59.1 percent from three-point range at the Terry's Chocolates ESPN Events Invitational.

The graduate student from Grafton, Wisconsin, scored in double digits in each of Bradley's three games at Disney World, highlighted by an 18-point performance with a season-high six three pointers against UC San Diego. In total, Huibregtse made 13 of his 22 three point attempts and tallied seven rebounds and five steals at the Multi-Team Event.

Huibregtse's strong performance and academic success have earned him this week's Busey Bank Scholar-Athlete honor.
