PEORIA, Ill. -- Bradley University men's basketball athlete Montana Wheeler has been named this week's Busey Bank Scholar-Athlete of the Week, announced Tuesday. Wheeler was honored after scoring 12 points on 6-10 shooting in Bradley's win over Evansville.

The freshman from Houston, Texas, was Bradley's second-leading scorer against Evansville, scoring 12 points while shooting an efficient 6-for-10 from the field to lead the team in field goal percentage. Wheeler also added a rebound and an assist, lifting his team-leading assist-to-turnover ratio to 3.2-to-one.

Wheeler's strong performance and academic success have earned him this week's Busey Bank Scholar-Athlete honor.
