Peoria, IL -- Former Bradley Brave Malevy Leons is headed to the Golden State Warriors on a two-way contract

Bradley University Athletics received exciting news with the announcement that former Brave Malevy Leons will take another step forward in his professional career by joining the Golden State Warriors on a two-way contract. Leons is currently in his second professional season in the NBA G League, where he is averaging 14.8 PPG, 7.6 RPG, 3.0 APG, and 1.8 SPG through 12 games, while shooting 51% from the field and 44% from three-point range for the Oklahoma City Blue, the G League affiliate of the Oklahoma City Thunder, who won the 2025 NBA Finals last season.

Leons appeared in six games for the Oklahoma City Thunder during the 2024–25 season, as well as 13 games for the Oklahoma City Blue, where he averaged 11.6 PPG, 8.2 RPG, 3.4 APG, 1.7 BPG, and 1.2 SPG. His 2024–25 G League season was highlighted by a standout performance of 19 points and 21 rebounds against the Texas Legends.

Leons starred at Bradley for three seasons, earning Missouri Valley Conference Defensive Player of the Year honors in both 2022–23 and 2023–24. He became the first player in MVC history to record 50+ blocks and 50+ steals in the same season, accomplishing the feat in back-to-back years (2022–23 and 2023–24). His name is found throughout the Bradley record books, ranking top-five in career blocks, top-20 in career rebounds, and top-40 in career scoring. In just three seasons on the Hilltop, Leons appeared in 101 games, starting 99, and totaled 1,179 points, 640 rebounds, 137 blocks, and 127 steals.

Under NBA rules, two-way contracts may be offered to players with fewer than four years of experience. By signing, Leons will be eligible to appear in up to 50 regular-season games for the Golden State Warriors during the 2025–26 season.
