AMES, Iowa – In a weekend emphasizing sprints and half-mile races, Bradley Track & Field showcased its short-distance speed at the Iowa State Classic.

Amiyah Davis and Carolina Martinez headlined another strong weekend for the Braves, setting the two-fastest women's 400m times in program history. Davis broke her one-week-old school record, lowering her personal best from 55.51 to 55.14 seconds. Martinez set a new 400m personal best for the fourth consecutive week, lowering her personal best from 57.08 to 56.46 seconds.

Davis and Martinez not only set top times in the 400m event but also in the 200m discipline. Davis completed the race in 25.17 seconds and Martinez ran her race in 25.60 seconds, good for the third- and sixth-fastest times in program history.

Julia de Palma Mendiguchia ran the 200m in 25.86 seconds, setting the eighth-fastest 200m time in program history. Syeira Campbell (26.78) and Hope Rajlich (26.83) also set either personal- or season-bests in the 200m. Rajlich also set multiple personal bests in Ames, with her 59.73 seconds in the 400m marking her second PB of the weekend.

Eilen Brenne continued her strong 2025, running the seventh-fastest 800m time in Bradley history with a 2:10.08. Trixie Wraith and Eimear McCarroll set new season-best times of 2:11.06 and 2:12.96, respectively.

On the men's side, Jamie Phillips posted an 800m time of 1:48.61, just under three-tenths off of his program record in the event. Jack Crull completed the race in 1:48.84, good for the second-fastest time in program history. Jaxson Copelin (1:50.57), Kaden Kingsmith (1:50.63) and Isaac Lind (1:54.42) all set either personal- or season-best times in the 800m race.

Bryndon Wallace posted a new career-best of 6.66 meters in the Long Jump at the Keck Select, hosted by Illinois Wesleyan.

COMING UP…
The Braves will compete in multiple meets on Valentine's Day weekend, as members of the team will compete in the Grand Valley State Big Meet and the David Hemery Valentine Invitational, hosted by Boston University.
