PEORIA, Ill. -- Bradley University softball athlete Kierston McCoy has been named this week's Busey Bank Scholar-Athlete of the Week, announced Tuesday. McCoy was honored after hitting .500 with three extra-base hits and five runs in Bradley's conference series victory against Murray State.

The junior from Mapleton, Illinois, tallied four hits in eight at-bats over the three-game series against Murray State. She hit her team-leading fourth home run and drove in her 14th and 15th runs of the 2025 season in game one of a doubleheader on March 14. McCoy also hit a double in game one and game three and scored four runs to help the Braves start 2-1 in conference play.

McCoy's strong performance and academic success have earned her this week's Busey Bank Scholar-Athlete honor.
