SPRINGFIELD, Mo. – Bradley Men's Golf finished one of the tightest and closely-contested tournaments of the season as the team competed in the Twin Oaks Intercollegiate in Springfield on March 17-18.
Just 10 strokes separated the fourth-place finishers from the 44th-place finishers in the tight individual field.
Brody McCarthy and
Devin Reichard paced the Braves in Springfield as both golfers tied for 22nd in the field at six strokes over par. McCarthy's opening-round even-par 71 and second-round 73 propelled him to his finish just outside the top 20. Reichard shot the lowest 54-hole score of his career en route to his best finish as a Brave.
Carter Stevenson,
Tanner Leonard and
Max Adams finished just behind McCarthy and Reichard in the standings. Stevenson finished tied for 28th at seven over par. Leonard tied his career-low round score of 73 en route to a tied-for-34th, eight-over-par finish.
Max Adams shot opening and final round scores of 73 to finish tied for 40th, nine over par.
Jeremy Ott shot a first-round score of 76, his lowest single-round score as a Brave.
Bradley finished eighth in the 12-team field, one stroke behind seventh-place Southern Utah.
