CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. -- A Bradley Outdoor Track & Field program record falls for the third consecutive week, as
Jaxson Copelin sets a new men's 800m mark at the Virginia Challenge in Charlottesville.
Copelin completed the race in 1:48.64, shaving one-tenth of a second off of Alec Hartman's 2021 program record. Copelin finished in seventh place against mulitple runners from Power Four conferences.
The Men's 800m Invite also featured
Jamie Phillips setting the third-fastest time in program history, finishing his race in 1:48.88, while
Matthew Burnett clocked in at 1:49.69.
Three other top ten times were set at the Virginia Challenge, headlined by
Abigail Hancock's 4:19.78 in the Women's 1500m Invite. The time was good for the fourth-fastest in program history.
Rhune Vanroose also set the fourth-fastest time in program history in her event, completing the 3000m Steeplechase race in 10:38.15.
In the relays,
Carolina Martinez,
Julia de Palma Mendiguchia,
Eilen Brenne and
Amiyah Davis combined to run the 4x400m relay in 3:43.84, the third-fastest time in program history.

The Braves head to Des Moines for the 115th running of the Drake Relays on April 24-26, then venture to the University of Illinois for the Fighting Illini Twilight on April 26.
