PEORIA, Ill. -- It's time to vote for the Prairie Farms Bradley Athlete of the Month! Now that summer is upon us, it's time to look back at May and vote for which Brave had the best month of action.

Freshman Josh Vaughn of the baseball team, junior Ashton Horchem of the baseball team and junior Kaitlyn Sheppard of the women's track & field team are the nominees for Prairie Farms Bradley Athlete of the Month in May.
 
Voting opens today at 12:30 p.m., will be open until Friday at 12:30 p.m. and will be conducted through the @BradleyBraves X account.
 
Josh Vaughn • Fr. • Baseball • Mapleton, Illinois
• Pitched five no-hit innings against Indiana State on May 3 in Marion, Ill.
• Earned first collegiate win against Indiana State on May 3 in Marion, Ill.
• Finishes season leading team freshman pitchers in multiple categories, including strikeouts (38) and innings pitched (40.2)
• Struck out nine batters in 12.2 innings during the month 

Ashton Horchem • Jr. • Baseball • Bartonville, Illinois
• Recorded at least one hit in nine of 11 games in May
• Tallied a Bradley career-high four hits with two doubles, three runs and three RBI in the regular season finale against Evansville on May 17
• Hit .436 (17-for-39) during the month of May
• Tallied a season-high two doubles on May 10 against Valparaiso and May 17 against Evansville
 
Kaitlyn Sheppard • Jr. • Women's Track & Field • Cheltenham, England
• Won the MVC Championship in the women's 1500m on May 18 in Carbondale, Ill.
• Took second place in the women's 5000m at the MVC Championship on May 18
• Ran the fifth-fastest women's 1500m time in program history at the MVC Championship (4:16.84)
