Bradley 13, UT Martin 9
Bradley used a series of multi-run innings and a historic offensive performance from Hayden Miller to power past UT Martin, 13-9, on Saturday afternoon at Skyhawk Field.
UT Martin struck first in the opening inning and added single runs in the second and third to take an early 3-0 advantage. The Braves quickly responded in the second inning when Miller delivered a two-out, three-run home run to even the game.
Bradley continued to apply pressure offensively throughout the afternoon. After UT Martin briefly regained momentum, the Braves answered again in the fourth inning as Miller launched his second home run of the day, helping Bradley plate three more runs and keep the game within reach.
The Braves broke the contest open late. Bradley scored twice in the sixth inning and added a pivotal three-run seventh to take control of the game before tacking on two additional insurance runs in the ninth. Bradley finished the afternoon with 13 runs on 10 hits, consistently capitalizing on scoring opportunities.
Miller led the offensive surge with a remarkable performance at the plate, going 3-for-4 with two home runs, five RBIs, and five runs scored, accounting for much of Bradley's scoring production. Sohrab Rezaei added two hits and two RBIs, while Angelo Aleman and Cal Leighton each contributed key hits in the win.
On the mound, Gavin Thompson started for the Braves and worked 4.1 innings, allowing six runs while keeping Bradley within striking distance. Davis Webb entered in relief and delivered a strong outing, tossing 4.2 innings with seven strikeouts to earn the victory and help secure the Bradley comeback.
UT Martin collected 15 hits in the contest and was led by TJ Dunsford, who recorded three hits and two RBIs. Bo Strickland also drove in three runs for the Skyhawks.
