RICHMOND, KY– After a tough battle, the Braves (5-13) took a loss against Pitt (12-6) on Sunday morning.
Pitt led off the scoring with solo homeruns in the first and second innings before Austin Comstock tied up the game with a two-run home run that scored Ella Shafer in the top of the third. The Braves saw hits from Olivia Turner, Brynna Seitz, and Morgan Schlosser late in the game, but were held off the board by the Panthers from the third inning on.
On the mound, Abby Rusher (3-8) faced 25 batters in six innings of work. She had two strikeouts on the day and gave up eight hits and four earned runs.
Bradley was defeated by Pitt 5-3.

The Braves head to Terre Haute, IN next week for their first Missouri Valley Conference series. Bradley and Indiana State will play three games over the course of two days. The first game will be Mar. 6 at 12:00 P.M. at Price Field.
