Bradley Women’s Basketball Earns First-Ever WNIT Appearance, Set to Face George Washington

Peoria, IL — The Bradley Braves will see their 2025-26 season continue in the Women's National Invitation Tournament (WNIT), marking the program's first appearance in the event. After finishing the regular season 20-12 overall and 13-7 in Missouri Valley Conference play, Bradley earned a spot on the national postseason stage and will face the George Washington Revolutionaries (15-17, 7-11 A-10) of the Atlantic 10 Conference in the opening round. The matchup brings together two programs looking to extend their seasons as the Braves build on one of the strongest campaigns in recent program history.

Bradley Women's Basketball enters the 2026 WNIT with a 21-12 overall record after finishing tied for third in the Missouri Valley Conference regular season and advancing to the MVC Tournament semifinals. The Braves built their success on a balanced and disciplined style of play, ranking among the MVC's top teams in scoring offense, scoring margin, three-point percentage, assist-to-turnover ratio, turnover margin, and steals. Bradley averaged 70.0 points per game while holding opponents to 64.2, producing a +5.8 scoring margin over the course of the season. The Braves are led by First Team All-MVC selection Kaylen Nelson, who paced the team with 18.1 points per game while adding 4.9 rebounds and strong perimeter shooting. Nelson is joined by MVC Freshman of the Year Maya Foz, who averaged 14.3 points per game in her debut season, giving Bradley a dynamic scoring duo that has powered one of the most balanced offensive attacks in the conference.

The George Washington Revolutionaries
George Washington enters the matchup with a 15-17 overall record and a 7-11 mark in Atlantic 10 play during the 2025-26 season. The Revolutionaries feature a balanced lineup led by third-team All-Atlantic 10 selection Gabby Reynolds, who paced the team with 13.9 points per game while adding 4.2 rebounds per contest and shooting over 42 percent from the field. Reynolds is supported by Sara Lewis, who contributes 10.7 points and 5.7 rebounds per game, along with Kamari Sims, who adds 8.0 points per contest. As a team, George Washington averages 60.8 points per game while holding opponents to the same scoring average, highlighting a defense-oriented style that has helped the Revolutionaries stay competitive throughout the Atlantic 10 schedule.
