PEORIA, Ill. – Bradley University women's basketball senior Claire McDougall has been named a recipient of the State Farm MVC Good Neighbor Award, as Missouri Valley Conference Commissioner Jeff Jackson announced the Winter 2026 honorees.

McDougall was recognized for her excellence in the classroom and her consistent commitment to community service. A Sports Communication major with a Health minor, she carries a 3.88 cumulative grade point average. McDougall has been named to the Bradley University Dean's List in Fall 2023, Spring 2024, Fall 2024, Spring 2025 and Fall 2025, while also earning Athletic Director's Honor Roll recognition every semester from Fall 2023 through Fall 2025. She is a member of the MVC Honor Roll and was a recipient of the MVC Commissioner's Academic Excellence Award. In 2025, she was also selected as a Bradley University Spring Spotlight Student.

Beyond her academic success, McDougall has taken on a leadership role within the student-athlete community. She currently serves as a Braves Council Representative and Secretary, a position she has held since Fall 2024. She is also a member of the BOLD Institute, Bradley's student leadership development program.

McDougall has made a significant impact through her community involvement in the Peoria area. She has been actively involved in the "Bid for the Braves" fundraiser since 2023 and serves as a group leader for Bradley's Power of Sport Initiative, working with local elementary and middle schools. Her volunteer efforts also include participation in the Peoria Friendship House Back to School Block Party, the Peoria Riverfront Farmers Market, the Morton Pumpkin Festival and Bradley University Homecoming events.

Additionally, McDougall has dedicated time to organizations such as the Heller Center for Kids with Cancer, OSF Almost Home Kids and the Proctor Recreation Center's After School Reading Program. She has also supported Bradley Athletics events by serving as a 50/50 raffle seller at men's basketball games and participating in Night Out with the Braves.

To be eligible for the State Farm MVC Good Neighbor Award, student-athletes must be in good academic standing, demonstrate strong citizenship through sportsmanship and community service and compete in a sport during the designated season.
