PEORIA, IL. – The Bradley Braves Softball team lost the final game of the regular season, 9-1, against Illinois State University.
The Braves' offense struck first. With two outs in the bottom of the first frame, senior
Austin Comstock knocked a single up the middle, with senior
Ashley Breeding earning a walk on a full count in the following at-bat. Sophomore
Olivia Turner, who played her second game of the weekend as the designated player, singled to right center to score Comstock. Bradley exited the first inning with a 1-0 lead. The Braves lost to ISU in five innings.
Sophomore
Emily Organ earned a pinch-hit single to right field in the fifth inning. Comstock went 2-2 with a walk on the day, reaching base two or more times in all three games against the Redbirds. Sophomore
Abby Rusher threw the final 2.1 innings, allowing just one earned run with no walks, fanning a pair of Redbirds. Comstock played the final game of her collegiate career at first place. Comstock, along with the other five Bradley Softball graduates, celebrated their senior day pregame.

Brynna Seitz,
Kinsley Robertson, and Breeding, along with Comstock, all had a place in the starting lineup. Seitz and Breeding each worked a walk in their final games.
