PEORIA, IL – Five Bradley Braves have claimed a Missouri Valley Conference softball award following the 2025-26 season.

All-Conference Team Selections

Senior Austin Comstock has been named a member of the Second Team All-MVC, claiming one of the Utility/DP spots. This is the first conference team selection of her career. Comstock had season highs in nearly every hitting metric, a .320 average, 10 doubles, 10 home runs, 18 walks and 34 RBIs. Her 10 home runs were the seventh most in the Valley this season. Comstock finished with a .381 on-base percentage and a .580 slugging percentage. Comstock spent the season as Bradley's designated player, playing nine innings of catcher and two games at first base in the final week of the season. Across conference play, Comstock hit .311 with 19 RBIs and a dozen walks, accumulating a .966 OPS. 

Senior Ashley Breeding was named to the MVC All-Defensive team at third base. This is the first time in Breeding's career that she was named to the Valley's All-Defensive team. Breeding spent time at both second and third base this season, finishing the year with a .963 fielding percentage. A near even split, Breeding made 77 putouts with 78 assists. Breeding had no errors at second base, transitioning to the hot corner right before the start of conference play. Breeding turned four double plays this season, the most by a non-first baseman on the Braves.

Scholar Athlete Selections

To meet the criteria, student-athletes must be at least a sophomore academically and athletically. Nominees must have a 3.50 cumulative GPA, both as an undergraduate and graduate student, where applicable. Eligible nominees must compete in at least 75 percent of Bradley's games played or started in at least 50 percent of Bradley's games. 

Five Braves earned the honor this season. Breeding and Comstock join junior Ella Shafer, senior Kierston McCoy and sophomore Morgan Schlosser, who were named 2025-26 MVC Scholar Athletes.

Breeding will graduate with her Criminology degree this semester, with minors in Sociology and Family and Consumer Sciences. Breeding will finish her collegiate journey with a 3.64 GPA. She finished the year with a .284 batting average, a season high 11 doubles, nine home runs and 38 RBIs.

Comstock will graduate this spring from Bradley as a Psychology major, with minors in Family and Consumer Science and Ethics. Comstock will finish with a 4.0 GPA, an incredibly difficult feat for a four-year student-athlete.

Shafer will complete her first six semesters of college with a perfect 4.0 GPA. Shafer is working towards her Sports Communications degree at Bradley. She started every game in centerfield for the second consecutive season, with a .958 fielding percentage this year. Shafer recorded 25 base hits, 11 RBIs and a pair of triples, all career-highs for the junior, including her 20 walks, which were the third most on the team.

McCoy graduates from her hometown team with a Public Health Education degree, minors in Health, along with Business Management and Leadership. A 3.73 GPA, McCoy had a Valley-best 20 doubles. Her 20 doubles are the second most in a single season in Bradley's program history. McCoy's 11 home runs were the most she had in a season throughout her career, the sixth most in the conference.

Schlosser is studying Kinesiology at Bradley University. After two years, Schlosser has accumulated a 3.82 GPA. Schlosser started all but one game in left field for Bradley, seeing action in every game for the Braves. Schlosser had a team-high .329 batting average this season. Schlosser finished the year with a career high eight doubles, three triples and 22 RBIs. Her three triples were the most on the team.
