Bradley Baseball Faces Gardner-Webb and Campbell in Four-Game Weekend

BOILING SPRINGS, N.C. – Bradley Baseball heads to North Carolina to face the Gardner-Webb Runnin' Bulldogs and the Campbell Fighting Camels in a four-game weekend series.

Bradley Braves Overview

Bradley enters the matchup hitting .251 as a team, with 399 hits and 254 runs scored through 49 games. 

AJ Garcia had a phenomenal day on Wednesday, falling just a double short of the cycle and going 3-for-4 with a homer, a triple, two RBI, and one run scored. He's recorded back-to-back multi-hit games and has gone 6-for-15 with a double, two triples, a homer, six RBI, and three runs scored over his past four games. Hayden Miller has been on fire, going 7-for-17 over his last four games with one walk, three doubles, four RBI, and three runs scored.

Landon Lowe has gone a combined 4-for-7 with two doubles, a home run, three RBI, a walk, two hit-by-pitches, and two runs scored over the past two games. During conference play, he leads the MVC in both batting average (.423) and on-base percentage (.526), while ranking seventh in slugging percentage (.654).

On the mound, Bradley has recorded 331 strikeouts over 398.2 innings. Joey Cirelli has made three strong relief appearances over the past week. In his last three outings, he has pitched 6.2 innings, allowing three runs, two earned, on seven hits while walking two and striking out six. 

Eli Lehrman made a strong start on Wednesday against Illinois, pitching three scoreless innings with two strikeouts while allowing just one hit and one walk. In his last two outings, Gavin Thompson has thrown a combined 2.1 scoreless innings while allowing one hit and striking out two.

Defensively, Bradley holds a .957 fielding percentage and has turned 31 double plays.

Gardner-Webb Runnin' Bulldogs Overview

Gardner-Webb has been a streaky team this season, going 21-27 with an 8-13 conference record. They dropped each of their last three games to USC Upstate by eight runs or more and won three of their last four before that weekend series. Despite their up-and-down season, the Runnin' Bulldogs come into the weekend with a 15-9 record at home compared to a 6-18 road record.

He has also held opponents to a .213 batting average. Beau Brailey has been a strong reliever, posting a 1.27 ERA with a perfect 5-0 record and three saves. Across 28.1 innings, he has recorded 22 strikeouts and issued 15 walks.

Defensively, Campbell posts a .965 fielding percentage.
