Bradley Soccer will be tested early in conference play, making the trip north to Chicago to take on in-state foe UIC. Bradley is coming off the heels of a dominant win over Chicago State, scoring five goals in the victory. UIC will look to continue its strong run of play after consecutive wins over Western Illinois and Loyola Chicago before falling to Big Ten foe Northwestern. The Flames lead the all-time series 12-8-2, including a 7-2 mark in Chicago.

Valley Players of the Week!
In what was a strong week for Bradley Soccer, three individuals put together stellar performances, resulting in a clean sweep of the Missouri Valley Conference's Men's Soccer Weekly Honors.

Bradley continues to add to its list of weekly honors, with Mitch Coughlon, Anel Kafedzic, and Marçal Salom Chandre all being named Players of the Week. It marks the first time since 2018 that Bradley has swept the MVC Weekly Honors and the first time Bradley has swept all three honors in a season following the MVC's addition of Goalkeeper of the Week in 2026.

The Bradley Braves
Bradley will head north to Chicago in search of a road win as the Braves open MVC play. The Braves are currently riding a strong run of play over their last five matches, going 2-0-3 during that span. Mitch Coughlon's non-conference stat line speaks for itself. The senior from Washington, Illinois, leads the MVC with five goals and ranks among the top 20 nationally.

Bradley's scoring offense has also seen a massive jump from 2025 to 2026. The Braves have already scored 17 goals through eight games this season, compared to 22 goals through 17 games a year ago.

The UIC Flames
The Flames will be looking to bounce back after a 5-2 loss to Northwestern over the weekend. UIC has been a tough out for the Braves in recent years, with the Flames winning or drawing in each meeting since 2006, a streak spanning 10 meetings.

UIC is led by Martin Montoya, who is tied for second in the MVC with four goals. In goal, the Braves can expect to face Owen Cornell, who has started all seven matches for the Flames this season. Cornell owns a 1.71 goals-against average with 20 saves and a 63% save percentage on 65 shots faced. Sean Phillips is in charge of the Flames program and owns a career record of 149-111-33.
