In a night that proved to be up-hill sledding for the Braves, UIC struck first in the 31st minute when Sebastian Khoury found the back of the net for his second goal of the season. Carlos Nevarez and Sota Nakazono were credited with assists on the opening goal. Bradley answered less than eight minutes later, with Mitch Coughlon scoring in the 39th minute to level the match at 1-1 heading into halftime. Coughlon's goal was the first of two on the night and would end the match extending his lead on the MVC goals leader board with seven, equaling his total from last season. 

UIC quickly regained the lead after the break. Artem Grinblat converted a penalty kick in the 47th minute to put the Flames ahead 2-1, the PK was awarded off a handball. Grinblat struck again in the 72nd minute, finishing off a play assisted by Nevarez and Daniel Zepeda to give UIC a two-goal advantage. Bradley would respond when Coughlon converted a penalty kick in the 74th minute, after pivoting his way to goal and was then fouled by Artem Grinblat cutting the deficit to 3-2.

The Flames, however, had the final answer. Khoury scored his second goal of the night in the 79th minute, with Zepeda providing the assist, to restore UIC's two-goal cushion and seal the 4-2 victory.

UIC controlled much of the attacking play throughout the match, finishing with a 27-9 advantage in shots and putting 12 attempts on target compared with five for Bradley. The Flames also held a 4-3 edge in corner kicks. UIC goalkeeper recorded three saves in the victory, while Bradley's goalkeeper made eight saves.

Bradley wll be back in action next weekend as the Hilltop prepares for homecoming! Bradley will be welcoming in the Bowling Green Falcons who lost to Western Michigan in earlier action. The match is set for a 7:00 p.m. kickoff and will be available for streaming on ESPN+.
