DAVENPORT, Iowa -- Bradley Women's Golf battled a difficult course at Davenport Country Club en route to a sixth-place finish at the Diane Thomason Invitational.
Peyton Coburn was the top-finishing Brave, placing tied for 13th with a 12-over-par 225. Coburn established herself in the top 10 early, carding a two-over-par 73 in Monday's first round before carding a 75 and 77 in the final two rounds. The finish is her first top-20 result of the season and the sixth of her Bradley career.
Meredith Finger finished just behind Coburn, placing tied for 23rd at 229 in her third collegiate tournament. Finger played a consistent tournament, carding two 77s on Monday before firing a three-over-par 75 in the final round.
Jillian Cosler finished tied for 31st at 231. After an 82 in round one, Cosler closed Monday strong, carding a two-over-par 73 across the day's final 18 holes. Cosler finished with a solid 76 in round three.
Brooke Deebs finished one stroke behind Cosler at 232, finishing tied for 34th. Deebs carded a season-low 74 in the tournament's first round.
Alyssa Mixon rounded out the scoring for the Braves at 242, finishing tied for 56th, while
Allison Seitz finished tied for 69th at 248.
As a team, Bradley scored 917 to finish sixth. The team title was won by the hosts, Iowa, scoring 878 to beat second-place Missouri State by 13 strokes and third-place St. Thomas by 16 strokes. The individual title was shared by Kathryn VanArragon from St. Thomas and Addison Kartusch from Bowling Green, with both golfers finishing with a one-under-par 212. The two battled through a playoff, but the two were ultimately named co-medalists after an extra five holes did not produce a definitive winner.
