2023-24 | 5TH-YEAR SENIOR
Malevy Leons concluded his final year in college basketball as one of the best all-around players in the Missouri Valley Conference and one of the best defensive players in the NCAA. Leons ended the 2023-24 season averaging 13.8 PPG, 7.1 RPG, 1.5 BPG, 1.5 SPG, and 1.3 APG while shooting 49% from the floor and 34% from three point range. Leons finished in Bradley's top-5 of career blocks, top-20 of career rebounds, and top-40 of career scoring, all in only his three year Bradley career. As of the end of the 2023-24 season, he is the only player in the 117-year history Missouri Valley Conference to record 50+ blocks and 50+ steals in a single season and accomplished that feat in back-to-back seasons. Malevy's spectacular career was one of consistency as he appeared in 101 career Bradley games and was a starter in 99 of those contests.

Was named to the 2022-23 MVC All-Defensive Team and was also named 2022-23 MVC Defensive Player of the year after becoming the first player in the history of the MVC to record 50+ block, 50+ steals in the same season • Leons was also the only player in the NCAA to have 50+ block, 50+ steals, and 200+ rebounds in 2022-23 • Appeared and started in all 35 games for the Braves in 2022-23 • Recorded a career high for points with 32 against Merrimack on 11/26/22 • Also picked up a career high in steal against Southern Illinois with four on 2/19/23 • Led BU in minutes played with 1,069 • Finished 3rd for made 3-pointers at 45 and FT% at 77% • Also Finished 2nd for BU in rebounding with 6.0 RPG • Finished first on BU with blocks and steals with 52 each, those 52 blocks rank 9th all-time in a single season for Bradley • Was also 2nd on BU in scoring with 11.1 PPG and will start this season as BU's leading scorer • Ended 2022-23 in the top 100 of BU's all-time scoring list at 95 with 696 points • Was named to the 2022-23 Cancun Challenge All-Tournament Team
2021-22 | JUNIOR
Appeared in 31 games with 29 starting assignments in his first season on campus • Ranked third on the team with 9.9 points, while placing second on BU and seventh in the Valley with 5.9 rebounds per game • Led Bradley by making 50.0 percent of his field goals and 38.1 percent of his 3-point attempts • Also first on the team and second in the Valley with 1.10 blocks per game • Became just the second player in school history to lead the team in blocks and 3-point percentage, joining Will Egolf in 2012-13 • Also placed second in the MVC in offensive efficiency, ranking 60th nationally with a true shooting percentage of 62.7 • Scored in double figures in 15 games, leading BU in scoring six times and in rebounds six times • Tallied a season-best 21 points in home wins against Maine (Nov. 27) and rival Illinois State (Feb. 19) • Named to the Sun Bowl All-Tournament Team after helping the Braves to the title, averaging 13.0 points and 6.0 boards in the two wins • Collected the first two double-doubles of his career versus Indiana State – recording 11 points and 12 rebounds on the road (Jan. 2) and 15 points and 10 boards in a home win (Jan. 30) • Keyed the Braves to a victory against Loyola with 14 points, including 10 in the second half (Feb. 9) • Rejected a season-best four shots versus SIU Edwardsville (Dec. 4) • Ranked fourth on the team with 42 assists, collecting three on three occasions.
MINERAL AREA COLLEGE
Named the David Rowlands NJCAA Male Student-Athlete of the Year, the NJCAA Division I Men’s Basketball Player of the Year and the NABC Two-Year College Player of the Year in 2021 • Also earned first-team NJCAA All-America honors • Added Region 16 Player of the Year accolades in addition to first-team all-region and all-conference honors • Ranked 37th nationally with 18.7 points and 25th with 9.5 rebounds as a sophomore – shooting 56.4 percent and adding 3.1 assists, 2.0 blocks and 1.1 steals per game • Helped lead Mineral Area College to a 54-3 record during his two seasons on campus – its most wins in school history in any two-year span • Led the Cardinals to a perfect 20-0 regular season in 2020-21 before winning the Region 16 and Midwest District Championships • Earned NJCAA All-Tournament Team honors as he helped the Cardinals to the Elite Eight and earn the school’s first-ever NJCAA Tournament victory.
INTERNATIONAL
Played for the Netherlands at both the 2018 and 2019 FIBA U20 European Championships • Averaged 10.4 points and 6.3 rebounds during the eight-game 2019 tournament.
HIGH SCHOOL
Played two seasons in the Dutch Basketball League with Apollo Amsterdam • Appeared in 32 games during the 2018-19 season, scoring 6.3 points to go with 4.3 rebounds per game.
