Bradley University Athletic Director’s Academic Honor Roll:  Fall 2004, Spring 2005

 

2004-05 (Freshman at Bradley)

?   Heirman joined the Braves as a walk-on following a fall tryout.

?   Played at total of 15 minutes in four of Bradley’s seven preseason games.

?   Made his Bradley debut Nov. 27 at Bowling Green by grabbing one rebound in the game’s final minute and has appeared in eight games during the course of the season.

 

At Marian Central Catholic High School

?   Heirman originally attended Prairie Ridge High School in Crystal Lake, Ill., where he played on the varsity basketball team as a sophomore and junior and helped the Wolves to a regional championship.

?   Transferred to Marian Central Catholic High School for his senior season, where he played for former Bradley point guard Tom Les, who is the older brother of current Braves head coach Jim Les.

?   A tri-captain and team Most Valuable Player at MCC, Heirman also was the co-Player of the Year in the Suburban Catholic League and earned fourth-team all-state honors from the Illinois Basketball Coaches Association in 2003-04.

?   Averaged 17.0 points and 7.0 assists as a senior.

 

Personal

?   Montana is the middle of three siblings:  sister Jacqueline (22), who attends the University of Notre Dame, and brother Shane (17), who took over the point guard duties at Marian Central Catholic after his brother’s graduation.

?   Heirman is named after the former Notre Dame and NFL star quarterback Joe Montana, who roomed with his father’s best friend in college.
