AT BRADLEY (2004-07)
•    Appeared in 61 games during his four-year Bradley career, including 33 as the starting pitcher.
•    His 61 career appearances ranked as the fifth-best total in Braves history at the time of his graduation, while his 18 career wins tied for the 10th-best total.
•    Set the then-single-season school record for saves (5) during his sophomore season in 2005.
•    Earned second-team All-Missouri Valley Conference honors as a starting pitcher in 2007, when he went 6-6 with a 5.24 ERA and four complete games.
•    Named the MVC Pitcher of the Week May 14, 2007 after tossing a 3-hit complete game, leading the Braves to a series-opening win against Evansville.
•    Was selected in the 22nd round of the 2006 Major League Baseball First-Year Player Draft by the Boston Red Sox, but opted to return to school for his senior season.
•    Signed as a free agent with the Chicago Cubs organization following the 2007 season and earned a start for the Triple A Iowa Cubs to end his only professional season.

•    During his three-year varsity career, Christl posted an 18-6 record with 210 strikeouts.
•    A two-time Upstate 8 all-conference selection, Christl also was named to the “DuPage Dozen” following his junior and senior seasons.
•    Also was named all-area as a junior and senior by the Daily Herald and the Naperville Sun newspapers.
•    A two-sport star, Christl played basketball for four seasons at Waubonsie Valley, helping his team to a conference and regional title.
 
PERSONAL
•    The son of John and Jean Christl, Michael was born Sept. 2, 1984 in Naperville, IL.
•    One of six children, Michael's siblings are Clint, Sarah, John, Patrick and Scott.
•    Graduated in May 2007 with his bachelor’s degree in business management and administration.
