Put up career-best numbers by finishing with a .363 batting average, 98 points better than his career average coming into the season, and a team-best 48 runs batted in ... Finished sixth in The Valley with 28 runs batted in during the 24-game league schedule, highlighted by a career-best six RBI's April 13 at Southern Illinois ... Drove in at least one run during in 11 consecutive games from April 19 through May 3 ... Hit .533 (16-30) during his career-best 8-game hitting streak from April 29 through May 11.
2007 (Sophomore): One of six Braves to play in all 53 games, Luttrell hit .265 with eight doubles and a pair of home runs ... Was hitting .305 until enduring a 2-for-29 slump over the final 10 games ... Turned a double play from the outfield in each of the three games in the Southern Illinois series ... Added his final two outfield assists during the State Farm MVC Tournament, twice throwing runners out at the plate ... High School: A four-year letterman, Luttrell earned all-conference honors during each of his final three seasons ... Earned all-state honors from the Illinois High School Baseball Coaches Association as a junior in 2004 and State Journal Register all-area honors as a senior ...
