Started 23 of 27 matches she played in and was second on the squad with a career-best .262 attack percentage ... Ranked third on the team with a 1.92 kills-per-set average and was second on the team in blocks and blocks per set (0.69) .... Had five outings with 10 or more kills, including a career-best 17 kills against Loyola ... Averaged 2.06 kills and hit .300 over the final four matches of her career ... Tallied 10 kills on just 13 swings (.769 attack percentage) against Illinois-Chicago ... Paced the team in kills twice and was the team's top blocker in 11 matches ... Averaged 0.77 blocks per set in Missouri Valley Conference play.
Junior Season (2010): Started all 29 matches she appeared in ... Led the team with a .240 attack percentage and ranked second in kills (239), kills per set (2.25) and blocks ... Tied for third on the team with 16 aces ... Had a then career-high 16 kills against Hofstra ... Turned in a double-double with 12 kills and 10 blocks against Missouri State ... Earned all-tournament honors at the CEFCU Classic ... Led the team in kills seven times and paced Bradley in blocks 15 times ... Reached double figures in kills 11 times ... Averaged 2.56 kills per set in the final four matches of the season ... Her 10 blocks against Missouri State were a career high... Had 11 kills and hit .400 to go along with three aces, seven digs and three blocks against USC Upstate in her first match of the season ... Averaged 2.59 kills per set in Bradley's victories ... Collected eight kills and hit .727 in BU's sweep of Chicago State
Sophomore Season (2009): The first player to lead the team in blocks in back-to-back years since Jenna Passman (2001-03), she was second on the team in kills and aces while ranking third in digs ... Started 29 matches ... Averaged 1.79 kills, 2.01 digs and 0.73 blocks per set ... Earned all-tournament honors at the Hotels at Grand Prairie Invitational ... Named Country Financial Scholar-Athlete of the Week for the week of Sept. 1 ... Averaged 2.16 digs per set in Valley play ... Tallied a career-best 15 kills against UTEP ... Posted a career-high 23 digs against Montana State and also added 12 kills for her only double-double of the year ... Averaged 3.2 kills per set while hitting .714 in the first two matches of the season ... Reached double figures in kills five times ... Had 10 kills on 13 attacks against Chicago State ... Had 10 or more digs on eight occasions ... Matched a career-best with seven blocks against IUPUI to go along with eight kills.
Freshman Season (2008): Led the team in blocks (97) and blocks per set (0.84) ... Also led the team with 21 service aces ... Ranked third on the team in kills (1.86 per set) and was second in attack percentage (.220) ... Is the only player in school history with 200 kills, 20 aces, 100 digs and 90 blocks as a freshman ... Recorded a block in all but two matches and recorded two double-doubles on the year ... Collected a season-high 13 kills while boasting a .500 attack percentage at Indiana State ... Had 11 kills, 11 digs and five blocks while hitting .400 against Fairfield ... also had 11 kills and 11 digs against Northern Iowa ... Tallied seven blocks on two occasions (vs. SIU Edwardsville and vs. Towson) ... Posted a season-high .588 attack percentage against Southern Illinois (11 kills - 1 error - 17 attacks).
Central Catholic: Averaged 4.2 kills per game as a senior and helped Central Catholic to a 26-12 record and IHSA sectional title match appearance ... Was named honorable mention all-state by the Champaign News Gazette as a senior ... A two-time first-team all-conference selection, she was team captain each of her last two years and captured Centennial Invite all-tournament honors in 2005, 2006 and 2007 ... Earned honorable mention all-state honors as a junior and was named all-area in 2006 by the Bloomington Pantagraph ... Played three years of varsity volleyball, earning team Rookie of the Year and Best Offensive Player awards as a sophomore ... Earned second-team All-Corn Belt Conference honors in her first season of varsity volleyball.
Club Competition: Played club volleyball for Illini Elite along with fellow sophomore Annie Cave ... Helped her club team qualify for Nationals all five years of club competition.
Personal: The daughter of Randy and Mary Schmidt, Megan was born in Bloomington, Ill. ... The oldest of three children, she has two younger brothers in Ryan and David ... Majored in marketing ... Named to the Bradley Athletic Director's Honor Roll each of her seven semesters.
