Ended his career 24th on Bradley's all-time scoring list with 1,255 career points ... The 2013 Missouri Valley Conference Defensive Player of the Year, Simms-Edwards set the school single-season record with 86 steals during his senior campaign, eclipsing the previous record of 83 steals set by Willie Scott during the 1982-83 campaign ... His 86 steals were the fifth-best single-season total in MVC history ... Led the nation in steals-per-foul (1.83) during the regular season and was fourth in steals-per-turnover (1.58) ... His eight steals Dec. 29, 2012 against Drake were the most by a Valley player since the 2005-06 season ... Finished ninth in school history with 180 career steals ... Twice earned a spot on the MVC Most Improved Team during his career ... During the summer of 2010, Simms-Edwards was one of 10 players to team on an all-star squad that toured Belgium and Germany for Global Sports Academy ... The team, which finished 5-0, primarily was made up of players from the Big Ten and MVC and was coached by then Illinois assistant Jay Price.

At Washington H.S.
After moving from Peoria to Washington prior to his junior season, Simms-Edwards helped the Panthers to consecutive Mid-Illini Conference titles ... After helping Washington to a fourth-place finish in the 2008 Illinois 3A state tournament, Simms-Edwards led the Panthers to a regional runner-up finish in 2009 by averaging 18.0 ppg, 5.0 rpg and 3.6 apg as a senior ... In a matchup against Southern Cal recruit Noel Johnson of Fayette County, Ga., H.S., Simms-Edwards led the Panthers to victory with a career-best 33 points

The son of Demetrius Edwards and Tara Simms, Dyricus was born March 8, 1991 in Peoria, Ill. .. The oldest of five siblings, Dyricus has four sisters:  Destini, Derria, Derali and Jarriah.
