At Bradley (2012-15)
After appearing in 26 games with 10 starts in his first two seasons, Smith took over as Bradley's starting centerfielder in 2014, finishing the season with a .299 average and sharing the team lead with 17 stolen bases in his 50 games ... Became the first player in the award's 25-year history to be selected twice for the Tim Trunk Award (2013, 2014) as Bradley Baseball's most improved player ... Led the nation with a .510 season batting average through March 21, 2014 ... Part of a deep outfield rotation in the 2012 season, Smith made his college debut as a late-inning replacement in centerfield Feb. 18 against Virginia Tech ... In his first career start March 17, 2013 at Lipscomb, Smith filled the stat sheet by going 1-for-2 with a home run, three runs scored, a walk, a hit-by-pitch and a sacrifice in a 11-10 victory… Led the nation in batting through the first half of the 2014 seasoned enters the NCAA tournament as the Valley’s 10-leading hitter with his .325 average… Sporting a .435 on-base percentage, Smith has reached base safely in 42 of the 48 games he has played with multiple plate appearances this season… A two-time Capital One Academic All-District V selection.

High School
Smith was a 4-year member of the varsity baseball team at Madison Central ... Also played basketball for the Indians as a freshman and sophomore and won the Academic award for posting the best grade point average both seasons ... Playing for head coach Steve Roof on the diamond, Smith was a member of the 2010 11th Region All-Tournament Team and was selected for the Kentucky East-West All-Star Game ... Invited to the 2010 USA Baseball National Team Identification Series in September.

Personal
The son of Pat and Donya Smith.... Majoring in finance, Smith has earned a spot on the Bradley Athletic Director's Honor Roll in each of his first six college semesters.
