A four-sport (baseball, basketball, football and track) letterman at Geneseo High School, Ganson earned two varsity letters on the hardwood in 2008 and 2009 ... Averaged 13 points and four assists per game as a senior, earning first-team all-conference and All-Quad City Metro area honors ... Set school records for 3-point field goal percentage (49%) and free throw percentage (95%) as a senior ... Was the runner-up in the 2009 IHSA Class 3A 3-Point Shootout.

Personal
The son of Kyle and Michelle Ganson, Aaron was born Feb. 27, 1991 in Peoria, Ill. ... The oldest of four siblings, Aaron has one sister, Rachel (17), and two brothers, Ryan (14) and Matthew (12) ... In addition to his nine varsity sports letters, Ganson made five mission trips to South Dakota for Rebuilding Together, he was a volunteer pianist at area nursing homes, he participated in the J. Kyle Braid Leadership Foundation, participated in student council and the Foreign Language Club and sang in the choir.
