At Bradley (2011-15) Sparked Bradley’s rally from a 17-point, second-half deficit Feb. 7, 2015 at Evansville and started each of the last eight games last season after that effort ... Enjoyed a career-best game Feb. 15, 2015 versus Loyola with 10 points, six rebounds and three assists, then matched that effort with 10 points, six boards and four blocks versus Drake in the first round of the MVC Tournament ... Averaged 7.0 points, 3.3 rebounds and 1.4 blocks in the last nine games of last season ... After redshirting the 2011-12 season as a true freshman at Bradley, Wells participated in an Athletes In Action mission trip to Brazil during July 2012 ... At Davenport West H.S. A three-year varsity letterwinner, Wells grew into a dominating post presence during his high school career ... Earned third-team all-state and first-team all-conference honors as a senior, when he averaged 12.1 ppg, 8.5 rpg and 4.5 bpg ... Led Davenport West to the 2011 conference crown ... Blocked 294 shots in his three varsity seasons, including 113 in his junior season ... Also earned a varsity letter playing tennis at Davenport West.
Personal The son of Marty and Martha Wells, Nate was born June 4, 1993 in Lich, Germany ... One of four siblings, Nate's brother is Ben and his sisters are Molly and Anna ... An Eagle Scout, Wells was active in extra curricular activities in high school as a member of the Davenport West Improvisation Team, Band, Euchre Club and German Club, in addition to singing in his church choir and participating in his church youth group ... Played the tuba in his high school marching band and also plays the violin, bass, guitar and ukele ... Majoring in communications (advertising), Wells has earned a spot on the Bradley Athletic Director's Honor Roll during five of his first seven semesters.
