Bradley University Athletics

Celebrity Golfer: Chuck Buescher

Celebrity Golfer: Chuck Buescher

Opening Bid: $300  Minimum Raise $50

By winning the bid to have Chuck Buescher join your group, you will have a chance to catch up on his retirement.  Of course, his last official day as an assistant coach for the Bradley men's basketball team is May 31, so his retirement likely will not include too many rounds of golf, yet.  In his second stint as a member of the Bradley coaching staff, Buescher helped the Braves to consecutive 22-win seasons for the first time since 1959 and 1960 and back-to-back trips to the postseason.  After playing both basketball and baseball for Bradley from 1964 through 1967, Buescher went on to enjoy a legendary high school boys basketball coaching career, primarily at Peoria (Central) High School.  During his 25 seasons at Central, Buescher led the Lions to a 528-184 (.742) record, 21 regional championships, including 18 in a row, and back-to-back IHSA AA state championships in 2003 and 2004.

To make a bid for Chuck Buescher to join your group during the 2007 Braves Club Golf Outing, email Nikki Cole (ncole@bradley.edu).  Please make your subject "Celebrity Golf Bid" and include Chuck's name and your bid amount in the text.  Only registered participants in the 2007 Braves Club Golf Outing may bid on a Celebrity Golfer.  The Braves Club staff will confirm the receipt of your bid and will notify you of any raises.  Bidding will remain open until 3 p.m. on May 30, 2007.
