Bradley University Athletics

Kady Meyers is a senior nursing major at Bradley University with a minor in health. While navigating through the Bradley School of Nursing, Kady has faced an endless number of challenges that taught her how to persevere to reach the goals that she had set for herself. Kady is proud of her accomplishments, achievements, and involvement throughout her four years at Bradley University.
Kady has been involved with the Bradley Nursing Student Association all four years, where she was able to be a part of multiple fundraisers and events. Kady has also been an active member of the Gamma Phi Beta Sorority which has provided her with opportunities to assume leadership positions. During the fall semester of her senior year, Kady assisted in teaching a course where she was able to provide advice to freshmen nursing students about the expectations and experiences within the Bradley School of Nursing. For more than two years, Kady has been a home care nurse assistant providing client-centered care and assistance in completing daily tasks to elderly patients in the Peoria area. Kady’s sophomore year, she was nominated by her class as the Sophomore Class Representative of the Department of Nursing Advisory Council. Kady listened to the concerns and requests of her peers and shared their opinions with the college leadership board. Kady’s dedication towards her grades has granted her a spot on Bradley University’s Dean’s list for multiple semesters. Kady’s success also allowed her to be inducted into Sigma Theta Tau, the International Honor Society of Nursing.
This past summer, Kady was given the opportunity of holding a position as a Student Nurse Intern on the postpartum unit at OSF St. Francis Medical Center. Throughout her internship, Kady was able to grow her confidence as a nursing student by working alongside preceptors throughout a 10-week educational program. Kady’s internship helped solidify her desire to pursue the obstetrics world after graduation. As graduation is approaching, Kady has high hopes to land a nursing job back home in Wisconsin. She has no doubt that the knowledge and experience that she has gained from Bradley University will help her succeed throughout her career as a nurse.
