Rusher played her Freshman year at Creighton University where she played 18 games, 6 of which were wins. She pitched 20 strikeouts in a total of 34.2 innings played. She faced 132 batters and only allowed 35 hits.

HIGH SCHOOL
A four-year letterwinner in softball for Ankeny High School in Iowa ... Led the Hawkettes to a 22-22 record and a fourth-place finish in the Iowa Class 5A State Tournament while earning a spot All-Tournament Team ... Was selected named to the Des Moines Register and the Iowa Girls Coaches Association Class 5A First Team All-State Team after recording 15 wins and a 1.92 ERA with 172 strikeouts as a senior ... Also earned Class 5A West All-District honors and was named to the KMA-Land Class 5A All-State Team as a pitcher following the 2024 season ... Rusher was also selected to participate in the Iowa Senior All-Star Game following her senior season ... Earned Class 5A First Team All-State recognition after leading the Hawks to a Class 5A District 1 Regional Championship and a berth in the state tournament with a 31-8 overall record as a junior ... Was also named to the All-Central Iowa Metro League First Team as a junior after posting a 1.72 ERA with 143 strikeouts in 122.1 innings of work ... As a sophomore, Rusher helped led Ankeny to a Class 5A Region 5 Runner-up finish after recording a 1.34 ERA with 44 strikeouts in 36.2 innings pitched ... Played club softball for Iowa Premier under the direction of Greg Dickel ... Rusher also played basketball for the Hawks as a freshman and sophomore and participated in track and field during her freshman year ... She excelled in the classroom, earning All-Academic recognition all three years of high school, as well as the Distinguished Academic Achievement Award and the Academic Excellence award from the Iowa High School Girls Athletic Association ... Rusher is involved in the Ankeny High School Mental Health Club and FCA and volunteers at Meals for the Heartland and at the Miracle League.
