2008 (Junior): Porter made 12 relief appearances, posting a 1-1 record in his 13.1 innings of work ... Earned the win April 12 at Southern Illinois by tossing 2.2 innings of scoreless releif in Bradley's 4-3 victory ... Also helped the Braves nail down a 2-1 win in the second game of the April 29 doubleheader versus Valparaiso with two-thirds of an inning of scoreless relief.
2007 (Sophomore): Went 2.0 innings in four of his five appearances, including scoreless efforts March 20 at Hawai’i-Hilo and April 17 versus Illinois Tech ... Fanned eight hitters in his 8.2 innings pitched ... Hit .333 in his 18 at-bats, including a 2-for-3 effort wtih a double and two runs batted in May 19 at Northern Iowa.
2006 (Freshman): Turned in a solid freshman season on the mound, posting a 2.52 earned run average in his 10 appearances ... Picked up his first career win April 26 against MacMurray by allowing one run on five hits in his 6.0 innings of work.
High School: A three-sport star in high school, Porter played four seasons of baseball, basketball and football ... On the diamond, he was the conference player of the year and a second-team all-state selection after batting .381 and striking out 121 opposing hitters ... Led Rolling Meadows to the regional title ... Also earned conference player-of-the-year honors on the hardwood after leading the Mustangs to the league title by averaging 18.0 ppg during his senior season ... An honorable mention all-state pick on the gridiron.
Personal: The son of Mike and Jackie Porter, Bryan was born Jan. 23, 1987 in Evanston, Ill. ... Has a younger sister, Heather (21) ... Majoring in art (graphic design), Porter has earned a spot on the Bradley Athletic Director’s Honor Roll during five of his first seven semesters.
