Hit .556 (5-9) with six runs scored and five RBI's in the three games May 1-2 ... Hit for the cycle over the course of the three games, hitting a double and a home run in the first game of the May 1 twinbill versus Calumet and adding a triple May 2 against St. Xavier.

Regarded as one of the fastest players in the Northeast, Segar patrolled the outfield at McQuaid Jesuit (N.Y.) High School as the Knights' centerfielder ... Although a hamstring injury limited his playing time, Segar still hit over .500 with a grand slam and two doubles as a senior and three homeruns as a junior ... Also ran track at McQuaid Jesuit, earning all-conference honors ... Won the 300-meter Section V championship and helped his 4x200-meter relay team to the section title ... Placed fourth in the 55-meter.
