The 2009 season marks Clint LaFary's second as assistant coach of the Bradley University cross country and track and field teams. LaFary was hired in 2008 after successfully completing an internship at Bradley as part of his master's degree from the United States Sports Academy.
LaFary served as track and field and cross country coach at Limestone Community High School in Bartonville, Ill., for five seasons prior to joining Bradley University. In 2007, he became the second coach in Ill. history to have both men's and women's cross country individual state champions in the same season.
LaFary graduated with a master's of science degree in sport coaching from the United State Sports Academy in 2009. During the summer of 2008, he completed his USATF Level II certification in endurance and was invited to the Emerging Elite Coaches Camp at the Olympic Training Center in Chula Vista, Calif. He earned his undergraduate degree from Monmouth College in 2000 in speech, communication and theatre arts and in 2001 received his secondary education certifications in speech, theatre and English. While at Monmouth College, LaFary competed in track and field and cross country.
LaFary and his wife, Suzanne, reside in Delavan, Ill., with their two children, Will (4) and Annabelle (1).
