Sean Winston

Sean Winston enters his first season as an assistant coach for Bradley Baseball in 2026, bringing a decade of Division I experience and a track record of developing elite defensive units and NCAA-caliber talent.

Winston spent the past nine seasons at Gonzaga, where he coached infielders and baserunners, served as the third base coach, and assisted with hitters and defensive positioning. During his time in Spokane, Gonzaga captured four West Coast Conference regular-season titles and earned four NCAA Tournament appearances, including the program’s first-ever at-large bid in 2016. Under Winston’s guidance, the Zags consistently ranked among the top fielding teams in the country, setting a program record with a .984 fielding percentage in 2018 and finishing seventh nationally in 2021.

Prior to Gonzaga, Winston served as an assistant coach at Paradise Valley Community College in Phoenix, helping lead the Pumas to an ACCAC Championship in 2015 while overseeing recruiting and offensive coordination. He also coached in the prestigious Alaska Baseball League with the Matsu Miners, winning back-to-back divisional titles and mentoring multiple league award winners, including two ABL Players of the Year and the 2015 batting champion.

A former two-time First Team All-Conference second baseman at Hawaii Pacific, Winston helped lead the Sea Warriors to a PacWest Championship and a second-place finish at the 2010 Western Regional. He also played two seasons at Lower Columbia College, guiding the Red Devils to two division titles and a second-place NWAC Championship finish.

Originally from the Pacific Northwest, Winston holds a degree in business management from Hawaii Pacific and is pursuing his MBA from Grand Canyon University. He and his wife, Molly, have two sons, Seth and Easton.
