2008 (Junior): Had surgery to remove bone spurs from his elbow prior to the season and although he regained his velocity, he struggled with his control throughout the year ... Struck out 30 in his 33.1 innings, a ratio of 8.1 per nine innings, but he also walked a team-high 42 hitters ... Although he did not factor in the decision, Brennan helped Bradley salvage the final game of the Creighton series April 6 by allowing just one unearned run on two hits in 7.0 innings in the eventual 4-3 win .... Although he recorded an 0-4 record, Bradley did win in each of his other five starts.
2007 (Sophomore): Brennan was one of the hard-luck starters in The Valley last season, starting 0-4 in the league despite a 3.00 ERA in those first four MVC starts ... When he finally got his first Valley win April 28 against Illinois State, he was forced to leave the game in the seventh inning with elbow pain and missed the next two league weekends ... Returned to the mound in the season finale May 19 at UNI and earned a relief victory by allowing just one hit and striking out seven in 4.0 scoreless innings ... Put up a 2.60 ERA in his last seven regular-season appearances and he allowed less than four earned runs in eight of his 10 regular-season appearances ... The Braves managed only five runs in his first four league starts before the 7-4 win against the Redbirds.
2006 (Freshman): Made his college debut with one scoreless inning of relief Feb. 26 at Tennessee-Martin ... In his first career start, Brennan pitched nine scoreless innings, striking out six, in a 3-0 victory versus Creighton on March 26 ... Named MVC Pitcher of the Week after that performance versus the Bluejays ... Finished second on the staff with five wins, including a 4-1 record in Valley action.
High School: A three-year letterman, Brennan helped Williamsville to a 38-3 record and a fourth-place finish in the 2005 Illinois High School Association Class A state tournament ... Named the team’s Most Outstanding Pitcher during all three varsity seasons ... A member of the 2005 all-state team, Brennan was captain of the all-area squad.
