?  Took a 3-hit shutout into the ninth inning of an eventual 5-1 win May 8 versus Evansville.

2004 at Bradley

?  Despite a shoulder injury that limited his velocity, and ultimately forced an early end to his season, Walker still managed a 4-4 record with a 2.88 earned run average in his nine starts.

?  Earned his second career shutout by blanking Xavier on six singles during a 9-0 victory March 6 in Cincinnati.

?  Through his first six starts, Walker was 4-2 with a sterling 1.72 earned run average, but surrendered five earned runs in two of his final three outings.

2003 at Bradley

?  Although only a freshman, Walker was one of the steadiest pitchers in the Valley, earning second-team All-MVC honors.

?  Led Bradley’s starters with a 3.65 earned run average and he completed seven of his 12 starts while tossing 93 2/3 innings overall.

?  In conference play, Walker was 4-1 with 2.66 ERA.

?  Although he suffered the loss in a 1-0 decision, Walker began his career by going the distance March 2 at Austin Peay, allowing only four hits in his 6 1/3 innings of work (seven-inning game).

?  Struck out a season-high 10 batters in six innings of work April 5 at eventual College World Series qualifier Southwest Missouri State.

?  In a head-to-head matchup versus fellow freshman ace Mike Pelfrey of Wichita State, Walker tossed a 9-inning shutout versus the 30th-ranked Shockers in Bradley’s 1-0 victory April 18 at O’Brien Field.

High School

?  Selected in the 40th round of the 2002 Major League Baseball Amateur draft by the Chicago Cubs.

?  Posted a 19-5 career record on the mound and recorded a 1.22 earned run average during his senior season.

?  Led Minooka High School to its first-ever baseball regional championship.

?  A two-time, first-team all-area and all-conference pick in the Suburban Prairie Red league, Walker was a first-team all-state pick by the Chicago Tribune as a senior.

?  Also played in the 2001 Jack Kaiser Memorial All-Star Game at Comiskey Park and the Midwest Baseball Showcase in Barrington, Ill.
