2005 at Bradley
? Finishing second overall with a 2.70 earned run average, Walker led the Valley in conference games with a miniscule 1.84 ERA in his eight league appearances.
? The opposition hit only .225 versus Walker and he allowed just 19 walks in his 90.0 innings pitched.
? Started the season with a 5-0 record, which included 6.0 shutout innings Feb. 26 versus IPFW.
? Took a 3-hit shutout into the ninth inning of an eventual 5-1 win May 8 versus Evansville.
2004 at Bradley
? Despite a shoulder injury that limited his velocity, and ultimately forced an early end to his season, Walker still managed a 4-4 record with a 2.88 earned run average in his nine starts.
? Earned his second career shutout by blanking Xavier on six singles during a 9-0 victory March 6 in Cincinnati.
? Through his first six starts, Walker was 4-2 with a sterling 1.72 earned run average, but surrendered five earned runs in two of his final three outings.
2003 at Bradley
? Although only a freshman, Walker was one of the steadiest pitchers in the Valley, earning second-team All-MVC honors.
? Led Bradley’s starters with a 3.65 earned run average and he completed seven of his 12 starts while tossing 93 2/3 innings overall.
? In conference play, Walker was 4-1 with 2.66 ERA.
? Although he suffered the loss in a 1-0 decision, Walker began his career by going the distance March 2 at Austin Peay, allowing only four hits in his 6 1/3 innings of work (seven-inning game).
? Struck out a season-high 10 batters in six innings of work April 5 at eventual College World Series qualifier Southwest Missouri State.
? In a head-to-head matchup versus fellow freshman ace Mike Pelfrey of Wichita State, Walker tossed a 9-inning shutout versus the 30th-ranked Shockers in Bradley’s 1-0 victory April 18 at O’Brien Field.
High School
? Selected in the 40th round of the 2002 Major League Baseball Amateur draft by the Chicago Cubs.
? Posted a 19-5 career record on the mound and recorded a 1.22 earned run average during his senior season.
? Led Minooka High School to its first-ever baseball regional championship.
? A two-time, first-team all-area and all-conference pick in the Suburban Prairie Red league, Walker was a first-team all-state pick by the Chicago Tribune as a senior.
? Also played in the 2001 Jack Kaiser Memorial All-Star Game at Comiskey Park and the Midwest Baseball Showcase in Barrington, Ill.
