At Bradley

Jerrod is the third Eigsti brother to play in the Missouri Valley Conference, following former Bradley catcher Ryan Eigsti and former Indiana State infielder Jake Eigsti ... A local product from Eureka High School, Eigsti transferred to Bradley from Des Moines Area Community College, where he teamed with former Braves pitchers Patrick Cooper and Eric Holmes ... Eigsti has started 53 of Bradley's 54 games last season, splitting his time in a rare utility combination between first base (23 games) and second base (30 games) ... Finished third on the team with 28 RBI's and fourth with eight doubles.  With emergence of several talented freshman, Eigsti has stayed at first base throughout the 2012 season.  He has started 29 games at first as part of a platoon setup, primarily with Andrew Wasmund...Has raised his batting average 23 points from .239 to .262 in his last 12 games. 

At Des Moines Area Community College

During his sophomore season in 2010, Eigsti hit .403 with 15 doubles and seven home runs and helped the Bears to a conference championship ... Teamed with former Bradley pitchers Eric Holmes and Patrick Cooper during his freshman season at DMACC.

High School
A three-sport star at nearby Eureka High School, where he was a four-year baseball and golf letterman and played two years of varsity basketball ... Earned first-team all-conference honors in 2007 and 2008 ... After hitting .480 with 16 doubles and three home runs as a junior in 2007, Eigsti followed by batting .510 with 15 doubles and seven dingers as a senior in 2008.

The son of Howard and Jayme Eigsti, Jerrod is in the middle of seven siblings, including current professional baseball players Jake and Ryan ... Ryan Eigsti played collegiately at Bradley ... Majoring in entrepreneurship, Jerrod has earned a spot on the Bradley Athletic Director's Honor Roll in each of his first three semesters on the Hilltop.
