AT PEORIA NOTRE DAME HIGH SCHOOL • A three-time McDonald’s All-Star, Shadid also was a three-time all-conference performer for the Irish. • Earned Peoria Journal Star all-area and Illinois Coaches Association all-state honors as a senior in 2016, when he hit .477 with 14 doubles and 11 triples. • Also played football at Peoria Notre Dame, where he earned honorable mention all-state notice as a running back during his senior year in 2015. PERSONAL • The son of DJ and Karen Shadid, Luke was born March 3, 1998 in Peoria, IL. • One of five siblings - Tricia, Luke, Maria and Danielle. • Teamed with brother, Andy, during his first three seasons at Bradley, while their cousin, David Shadid, was a school-record-setting sprinter for the Bradley track team from 2015-19. • Father, DJ (1984), also played baseball at Bradley, as well as an uncle, George (1978-80), and cousin, Jim Shadid (1976-79).
