AT BRADLEY
Redshirted the 2013 season as a true freshman at Bradley and did not appear in a game during his redshirt freshman season in 2014, but he has emerged as a reliable reliever in the last two seasons … Led the staff with 26 appearances in 2016, all out of the bullpen, going 2-0 with two saves and a 10.3 strikeouts-to-walk ratio (41-4) … Although he finished 5.2 innings shy of qualifying for the national leaders, Stong’s 10.3 strikeouts-to-walk ratio in 2016 would have ranked sixth nationally.
 
AT ANDOVER HIGH SCHOOL
Played both baseball and hockey at Andover High School, where he earned all-conference honors on the diamond in 2011 ... After batting .273 with 10 RBI's as a sophomore, Stong hit .390 in 2011 with 25 RBI's and a .519 on-base percentage ... On the mound, Stong recorded a 4.04 ERA with 65 strikeouts in his sophomore and junior seasons combined.
 
PERSONAL
The twin brother of former Bradley Baseball teammate Brent Stong, the twins were born Nov. 22, 1993 in Fridley, MN ... Majoring in finance, Nathan has earned a spot on the Bradley Athletic Director's Honor Roll in each of his first nine semesters.
