Appeared in 22 games with 18 starts during his first season on The Hilltop … Hit .233 with 14 hits, five doubles, five RBI and four runs scored … Added one stolen base … Recorded a .317 slugging percentage … Finished the season with 17 putouts, 34 assists and helped turn six double plays defensively. 

PRIOR TO BRADLEY
Nelson arrived at Bradley as a graduate transfer after a breakout junior college career at Three Rivers College and one season at Charleston Southern. At Three Rivers, he became the program’s all-time hits leader with 147 and ranked third in career stolen bases. He hit .381 with 75 hits in 2023, followed by a .379 average with 72 hits in 2024, helping lead the Raiders to a 30-plus win season and a hosted sub-regional in 2023. He spent the 2024-25 season at Charleston Southern under head coach Karl Kuhn.

HIGH SCHOOL
Prepped at Joe T. Robinson High School in Arkansas … Named 2022 All-State, All-Conference and Offensive Player of the Year … Also earned All-Conference honors in 2021 … Helped the Senators to a conference championship in 2022 … Hit .450 as a senior, .410 as a junior and .300 as a freshman.
