2025-26 College of Southern Idaho | Redshirt-Sophomore
Thornbrue would see his redshirt sophomore season play out at the College of Southern Idaho where he would start in all 26 games for the Golden Eagles including four games in the NJCAA National Tourney which saw Thornbrue and the Golden Eagles advance all the way to the NJCAA National Championship game. In the Championship game, Thornbrue recorded 21 points (led team) and three rebound while shooting 6/12 for the game. On the season Thornbrue averaged 12.3 PPG, 4.7 RPG, and 1.4 BPG while shooting 45.7 percent from the floor and 73.1 percent from the free throw line. In 21 of his 26 games played Ben registered 10+ points and also collected 6+ rebounds in eight contests.

2024-25 Lane Community College | Redshirt-Freshman
Following his redshirt season, Ben transferred to Lane Community College where he would appear in 28 games for the Titans making 27 starts. Over the course of his 27 games Thornbrue averaged 21.6 PPG, 7.3 RPG, and 2.6 BPG while shooting 47.9 percent from the floor and 73.4 percent from the free throw line. With Thornbrue down low, the Titans went 20-8 overall with a 11-5 mark in league play. The Titans would advance the Northwest Athletic Conference Championship game where Thornbrue put up 20 points, 6 rebounds, and four blocks in the Titans one point loss. Following the end of the 2024-25 season, Thornbrue was named as the NWAC Region Player of the Year, Southern Region Freshman of the Year and Southern Region Defensive Player of the Year.

High School | Glencoe
A 2023 graduate of Glencoe High School, Ben was named as a All-Pacific Conference 1st Team selection as a senior, a 2nd Teams Selection as a junior and a honorable mention as a sophomore. During his senior season Ben averaged 19 PPG, 7 RPG, and 3 APG. While attending Glencoe, Thornbrue also played varsity football during his sophomore and junior years and was named All-League in football in both seasons. Ben also played club ball for the Elite 24 from 2020-2023.

Personal
The son of Matthew and Penny Thornbrue, Ben has two siblings (Ellie & Luke). Ben graduated from Glencoe HS in 2023. Ben will be majoring in Liberal Arts/Education and hope to one day work in Special Education or play basketball professionally overseas.
