2007-08: Junior at Bradley

? Collins made his biggest impact during the nonconference season for the Braves, averaging 5.4 ppg and

3.6 rpg with 11 blocked shots in his 18 games outside of Valley play.

? Named the Missouri Valley Conference Newcomer of the Week Nov. 19 after turning in a double-double, 10 points and 14 rebounds, in the South Padre Island Invitational opener versus Maryland-Eastern Shore.

? Made at least half of his field goal attempts in each of the first 10 games and shot 65.2 percent from the

field for the season.

? Enjoyed his best game of the 2008 calendar year in he second round of the CBI championship series versus Tulsa with eight points, six rebounds, a pair of blocked shots and an assist in a season-high 20 minutes.

? Collins is the third 7-footer to play for the Braves in the Jim Les coaching era, following 7-foot-1 Brandyn

Heemskerk (2001-06) and 2006 NBA Lottery pick Patrick O’Bryant (2004-06).

? Although the first Canadian recruited by Les, Collins also is the third player from Ontario to play for Bradley’s seventh-year head coach, joining Jason Faulknor (Etobicoke, 2000-04) and James Gillingham (Guelph, 2000-04).

? Along with 2001 MVC Defensive Player of the Year Jerome Robinson (Malton,1997-2001), Collins actually is the fourth Ontario native to play at Bradley this decade.

 

At Misouri State-West plains

? Averaged 8.5 points, 6.9 rebounds and 1.6 blocked shots, while shooting 60.5 percent from the floor, as a

sophomore during the 2006-07 season.

? Was ranked as the eighth-best center among junior college players in 2006 by nbadraft.net.

 

At Emery Collegiate Institute

? Played three varsity seasons -- freshman, junior and senior -- helping the Eagles to the 2004 Ontario

3AAA title.
