Returning Home

?   After playing his freshman season at Wisconsin-Milwaukee this past season, Thornton elected to transfer and has joined the Braves as a walk-on for the 2007-08 season.

?   As a first-year NCAA Division I transfer, Thornton will be ineligible to play this year, but he will be able to practice with the team and will have three years to complete his final three years of eligibility, starting with the 2008-09 season.

 

At Wisconsin-Milwaukee

?   Appearing in 27 games as a true freshman, Thornton tied for fifth on the team with 20 3-pointers during the 2006-07 season.

?   In addition to his career-best 13 points at Central Michigan, Thornton scored five points in each of his first three games, all at home versus Radford, Washington State and UAB.

?   Drained a game-tying 3-pointer with just under two seconds remaining in the Jan. 4 win versus Detroit.

 

At IVC High School

?   Enjoyed a stellar senior season, earning third-team all-state honors from the Associated Press after leading Illinois Valley Central High School to a runner-up finish in the 2006 IHSA Class A state tournament.

?   In his three games on Bradley’s home floor at Carver Arena during the state tournament, Thornton averaged better than 20 points per game and drained a total of 14 3-pointers.

?   Shot 43.8 percent from 3-point range while making 117 treys during his senior season.

?   Also played two years of varsity golf.
