2021-22 • JUNIOR
Fought through a preseason foot injury throughout the year, appearing in 28 games with 12 starting assignments • Averaged 7.1 points, while leading Bradley with 47 made 3-pointers – connecting on 36.2 percent from beyond the arc • Scored a season-best 15 points versus Sam Houston in the Sun Bowl Invitational behind a career-best five made 3-pointers (Dec. 21) • Added 14 points in an MVC win over Northern Iowa with four triples (Dec. 1) • Made 42 percent of his 3-point attempts during the final 13 games of the season with the Braves going a perfect 4-0 with three or more made – versus Drake (Jan. 19), Southern Illinois (Jan. 22), Evansville (Feb. 5) and Loyola (Feb. 9) • Added 2.5 rebounds per game, matching his career high with eight at Indiana State (Jan. 2) • Received honorable mention to the MVC Scholar-Athlete Team.
2020-21 • SOPHOMORE
Played in 27 contests with 17 starting assignments • Averaged 8.6 points, 3.0 rebounds and 1.6 assists per game • Led Bradley with 47 made 3-pointers, becoming just the sixth player in school history make at least 40 triples as both a freshman and sophomore • Scored in double figures in 13-of-27 games, leading Bradley in points on five occasions • Tallied a career-best 19 points in a win against Jackson State, scoring 16 alone in the second half (Dec. 17) • Sunk a season-best four 3-pointers in four games – versus Judson (Dec. 1), Lewis (Dec. 7), Evansville (Jan. 17) and Valparaiso (Feb. 10) • Scored 14 points to go with a career-best eight rebounds in the win versus the Crusaders (Feb. 10).
2019-20 • FRESHMAN
Named to the Missouri Valley Conference All-Bench Team • Appeared in 33 games as a rookie, starting two contests • Averaged 6.6 points, shooting 46.6 percent from the field and 39.1 percent from 3-point range • Ranked third in BU history by a freshmen with his 3-point percentage, while his 43 made triples place seventh among rookies • Increased his output during Valley games with 8.1 points per game, making 51.6 percent of his baskets and 46.8 from beyond the arc • Placed third in the league in MVC games only by making 46.8 percent of his 3-point baskets • Totaled season highs with 18 points and seven rebounds in a home win against rival Illinois State (Jan. 22) • Helped Bradley to a MVC Quarterfinal victory against Southern Illinois with 12 points, making a personal-best four 3-pointers (March 6) • Also added 10 points in the MVC Championship victory against Valparaiso (March 8) • Connected on three late triples in an 88-second span in a win at Missouri State, turning a six-point deficit into a three-point lead (Jan. 15) • Scored in double figures in eight games overall as a rookie • Connected on a 3-pointer in 16-straight games from Dec. 31 to Feb. 26, the longest streak by a Brave in nine years • Added 2.5 rebounds per game and 34 total assists during the campaign.
INTERNATIONAL
Finished as the second-leading scorer at the 2018 FIBA Europe Under-18 Championship • Averaged 22.3 points in six games during the tournament, shooting 44.7 percent from the field and 46.2 percent from 3-point range • Earned all-star honors at the 2018 Nordic Championship • Also was the youngest member of the Finnish team at the 2019 World University Games, averaging 7.0 points in six games.
HIGH SCHOOL
Played for HBA-Märsky of the Finnish First Division from 2016 to 2019 • Averaged a team-leading 15.9 points to go with 4.2 rebounds, 3.5 assists and 1.7 steals in 26 games during the 2018-19 season, ranking second in the First Division with 66 made 3-pointers • Overall, averaged 12.0 points, 3.3 rebounds and 2.6 assists in 60 career games in the First Division • Helped lead HBA-Märsky to a second-place finish during the 2017-18 campaign.

Born June 30, 2000 • Son of Mika-Matti and Nina Tahvanainen • Two brothers, Sami and Joonas • Joonas was a member of the Utah Valley basketball team from 2016 to 2018 and Westminster College from 2018 to 2020 • Majoring in graphic design.
