2025-26 Northeastern | RS-Freshman
Following a redshirt season at the University of Miami (FL), Xander transferred to Northeastern University for the 2025–26 season. He got off to a red-hot start in his first season of game action, starting all 11 games he appeared in and averaged 10.3 points and 7.4 rebounds per game while shooting 42% from the field. However, Alarie suffered a season-ending injury, sidelining him for the remaining 20 games of the 2025–26 season.

Xander got it done both on and off the floor during his 2023 & 2024 seasons, being named to the St. Andrews Episcopal Honor Roll and All-Mid-Atlantic Conference.  During his 2024 campaign, Alarie stuffed the stat sheet averaging 15.0 PPG, 8.0 RPG, 3.0 APG, and 2.0 BPG, carrying off an impressive 2023 season where he averaged 16 PPG, 7 RPG, 3 APG, and 2 BPG, helping to boost St. Andrew's to a 22-9 record and was named as a Washington Post All-Met Honorable Mention. He also played for Global Squad UAA in 2022-23.


Personal
The son of Mark Alarie and Rene Augustine, Xander has two siblings (Bella and Christian). His father, Mark Alarie, played at Duke and was a first-round NBA draft pick in 1986, while his sister, Bella, played four years at Princeton and was drafted fifth overall by Dallas Wings in 2020 WNBA Draft.
