A fourth-year junior, Burgert redshirted as a true freshman in 2002 ... In his only appearance during his first two seasons, Burgert did not face a shot in the final 15:55 of Bradley’s 7-0 win versus Drury Sept. 12, 2003 at Shea Stadium ... Burgert has played regularly during the last two spring exhibition seasons, proving he can be a reliable replacement for Chris Dunsheath if neccessary.

Burgert earned all-state and all-region honors as a
senior in 2002 ... Led Jacksonville High School to a 21-2-3 record during his senior season and a sweep of the area, district and bi-district championships ... In addition to recording 10 shutouts his senior season, Burgert also contributed offensively by chipping in with two goals and four assists from his part-time, marking back position ... After being named District 16-4A Defensive Most Valuable Player as a sophomore in 2000, Burgert added first-team all-district honors as a junior in 2001 while leading Jacksonville to a 19-5-2 record and the area and bi-district titles.
Club Soccer
As the keeper for the East Texas Spirit, Burgert helped his club team to the 2001 Division 2 Coca Cola Classic championship.

The son of Ron and Yvonne Burgert, Brandon was born Dec. 19, 1983 ... Majoring in business management and administration, Burgert has earned a spot on the Bradley Athletic Director’s Honor Roll during each of the last three semesters.
