At Bradley (2002-05)

The top returning scorer from the 2004 team, Brown suffered a torn ACL during his first week of training with the Vermont Voltage (PDL) in May and was expected to apply for a medical hardship for the 2005 season ... Made a remarkably quick recovery, however, and played in the season’s final eight games … Achieved double-digits in points in his sophomore and junior ... When he scored a pair of goals Sept. 27, 2002 versus Oral Roberts, Brown became the first Peorian to score a goal for the Braves since Jeff Williams, Oct. 27, 1996 at Northwestern ... Scored the game-winning goal against Eastern Illinois Oct. 31, 2003 at Shea Stadium ... Picked on a pair of New England based teams in 2004 by scoring two goals against both Northeastern and Central Connecticut State ... Assisted Preston Good’s goal in an eventual 1-1 tie Oct. 13, 2002 versus #5 SMU and added the game-winning assist versus the 10th-ranked Mustangs in Dallas Oct. 10, 2003, helping the Braves to a 2-1 overtime victory.

 

Prep Overview

In his four varsity seasons at Dunlap High School, Brown racked up 94 goals and 30 assists for 218 career points ... Earned Peoria Journal Star all-area, all-sectional and Mid-Illini all-conference honors following each of his final three prep seasons and he led the Peoria area in goals as a senior (32) in 2001 and as a sophomore (26) in 1999 ... With Brown leading the offensive attack, Dunlap posted a 39-7-2 (.833) record in his final two seasons, won three straight conference titles and advanced to two state tournament sectional championship games ... Named the Most Valuable Player at the 2001 4 Kicks All-Star Senior Classic.

Brown played locally for Peoria’s Sporting Futbol Club ... Prior to moving to Peoria, Brown lived in England and played for Purdoe Town of the Tyne Valley League for three years (1996-98).
